1. For Renshinkan Karate Do, respect for people is of the utmost priority

At the heart of Renshinkan is respect for other people.

As a result, safety is uppermost; therefore protective equipment is worn during tournaments.

The message sent out by television of a glorified and violent life misunderstands and misrepresents the fact that Karate is a peaceful martial art.

While society may be leaning toward misunderstanding the martial arts, we insist on even higher spiritual and cultural aims, proudly portraying the necessity for, and practice of, human respect.
