2. For Renshinkan Karate Do, one must seek perfection of skill over time

Think of the small as large. Think of shortness as length. Think of softness as strength. Coupled with refined and courteous words and you begin to understand the craft of Renshinkan.

Renshinkan is calculated and precise; the variety of techniques must naturally be done well.

Techniques to be mastered include: flying jump; stopping kick; back round kick; consecutive round kicks; second level turning kick (ni-dan); axe kick (literally ‘leg knife’ kick); turning hand knife strike; reverse ‘head wind’ kick.

As a result, there are no tournaments for children in Junior High School (ages 11-14) as they are still learning Karate Do and growing.
